At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin’s Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

We are a team of collaborators, doers, and problem-solvers who are relentlessly committed to a culture of safety. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedication and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight. Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin’s vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.

We are looking for a responsible engineer to lead design, testing, and integration of RCS and Helium fluid lines, components, and secondary structures for the MK2 Crew Lander propulsion system. To be successful in this role, you should have demonstrated experience performing sizing, design, and analysis of propulsion systems.

You will work directly with NASA as part of the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program. You will play a key role in developing the Lunar Transportation system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth.

  • Develop and maintain analysis to ensure propellant is provided at correct conditions
  • Lead and execute component and system level testing

  • Work with supply chain to procure hardware and manage vendor deliverables
§ 03QUALIFICATIONS:
  • B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Physics, Systems Engineering or related technical subject area
  • 8+ years of experience designing developing, integrating and certifying fluid systems on spacecraft
  • Ability to perform CAD layout, fluid analysis, structural design, or structural analysis
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills with ability to directly interface with external parties including government and commercial entities
  • Willingness to work on-site with occasional travel
