AIT Technician
- Assemble, integrate, and test satellite systems (mechanical, electrical, thermal)
- Follow detailed drawings and schematics to perform precise build-ups
- Perform functional and environmental testing on satellite components
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and integration issues
- Maintain lab cleanliness and hardware organization
- Document test results, build logs, and non-conformances
- Use specialized tools (e.g., soldering irons, crimpers, torque wrenches, oscilloscopes)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in aerospace, space, or high-tech manufacturing
- Strong electrical or mechanical build experience (depending on position)
- Electrical: Harnessing, soldering, board assembly, con testing
- Mechanical: Structural assembly, solar arrays, reaction wheels
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and assembly procedures
- Comfortable working with engineers and independently owning work
- Experience using basic tools and test equipment (multi-meters, torque tools, etc.)
- IPC or J-STD certifications (soldering, harnessing)
- Cleanroom or flight hardware experience
- ERP (NetSuite/ION) familiarity
- Space domain experience (preferred), or medical/high-tech background
- Forklift or crane certification
- A&P license or equivalent
