Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

As part of a hardworking team of Designers you will:

  • Perform design and maintenance of structural product definition by preparing design layouts and drawings, modifying existing designs and resolving design discrepancies.
  • Coordinate fabrication, installation, and commissioning of new or modified systems at any Blue Origin site.
  • Build models and drawings of designs.
  • Provide guidance on schedule and technical requirements to internal customers.
  • Apply company and industry (design, drafting, parts) techniques to plan, lay-out, and maintain data depicting engineering designs (detail, assembly and installation drawings or datasets).

  • Experience selecting standard aerospace hardware, fasteners, bushings, washers
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team responsible for selecting materials, manufacturing processes, and developing the design to produce world-class engineered products
  • Excellent attention to detail and task ownership, someone who demonstrates pride in all work and willingness to perform low-level tasks when needed
  • Experience managing large CAD assemblies and associated drawings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
