Offshore Recovery Technician | All Levels, All Shifts
Application close date:
Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed. At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!
This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.The best kept secret in space exploration is the impact of marine assets and the use of one of earth’s most abundant resources, it’s oceans. The maritime industry has been paramount in the exploration of space since its early development. Hardware and crewed capsules have landed in the ocean with marine crews recovering hardware and astronauts since the early days of human spaceflight. As the commercial space industry expands and iterates on reusability to lower the cost of access to space, the importance of marine assets and the crews that operate those assets has never been more important. At Blue Origin, we are building a world class team that pushes the boundaries in space hardware recovery operations and delivers the simplest and best solutions to some of humanity’s most difficult problems. If you have the ambition, drive, determination, and skillset to change the world, we are looking to give you the platform to do so!
As part of a dedicated team, committed to pushing the boundaries of launch and recovery, you will support operations dedicated to at-sea space hardware recovery. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and reliable space hardware recovery operations. As part of a hardworking team, you will plan, manage, and operate complex recovery systems from activation thru ongoing operation. You will have an active involvement in the development, implementation, operation, and troubleshooting of Blue Origin marine assets and ground support equipment while performing hands-on work with the New Glenn flight hardware.
We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!
