This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin’s Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.As part of a hardworking team of specialists and engineers within the Lunar Core Components Test Team, you will plan, execute, and document environmental qualification and acceptance testing of avionics and RF hardware for lunar vehicle programs. You will be responsible for ensuring flight hardware meets rigorous performance requirements through thermal, vibration, shock, EMI/EMC, and other environmental test campaigns. This role requires hands-on test execution, fixture design coordination, data acquisition, and close collaboration with design engineers to resolve anomalies and deliver hardware on schedule.

- Shifts available: 8AM-5PM
- Interviews will include a technical assessment
- Develop, review, and execute environmental test procedures (thermal vacuum, thermal cycling, random vibration, sine vibration, mechanical shock, EMI/EMC) for avionics boxes and RF assemblies
- Configure and operate data acquisition systems, environmental test chambers, and associated instrumentation
- Analyze test data, generate test reports, and disposition anomalies in collaboration with design, test and quality engineering
- Design and procure test fixtures, adapters, and cabling harnesses; coordinate with machine shops and vendors to support test schedules
- Maintain test equipment calibration, facility readiness, and compliance with AS9100 and internal quality management system requirements
- Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Aerospace Technology, or related technical discipline
- 5+ years of experience performing environmental testing (TVAC, vibration, shock, or EMI/EMC) on aerospace or defense electronic hardware
- Familiarity with SMC-S-016 or equivalent environmental test standards
- Proficiency with data acquisition systems and instrumentation
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical discipline
- Experience testing RF components such as antennas, radios,
- Working knowledge of EMI/EMC testing per MIL-STD-461 test methods
- Experience with cleanroom protocols and ESD-sensitive hardware handling for flight-grade electronics
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Windchill, JIRA) and digital work order execution systems
- IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification, or NASA workmanship standards experience
Base Pay Range for:
