Application close date:

Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.

At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.
As part of a hardworking team of engineers, technicians, and specialists, you will design, analyze, and integrate fluid systems for aerospace applications. This role involves the development of pressurized fluid systems from concept through production, including tube routing, component selection, and pressure system structural and safety analysis for flight hardware.
  • Relocation provided
  • Travel expected up to 25% of the time
  • Interviews will include a technical assessment
§ 02RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Design and analyze pressurized and flowing fluid systems from concept through production
  • Understand and integrate pumps, valves, fittings, and instrumentation into a broader system
  • Design and Release tube routing layouts for complex aerospace applications
  • Ensure Safe design, operation, and test of pressurized and/or cryogenic system and components, including but not limited to hazard analysis, and failure modes analysis
  • Perform trade studies and create technical drawings and specifications
  • Support integration, testing, and troubleshooting of fluid/structure systems
  • Interface with manufacturing, quality, and other engineering disciplines
  • Ensure compliance with company standards for pressurized hardware, pressure vessel codes and/or industry or company standards for pressurized hardware
  • Mentor junior engineers
