This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.Come join us at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Kent, WA as a Manufacturing Engineer supporting complex reusable rocket engine systems. In this role, you will help advance our mission of “Launch. Land. Repeat.” with the goal of making space more accessible for the benefit of Earth.

As part of a highly collaborative team, you will serve as a key technical interface between the production value stream and design engineering, ensuring smooth execution of hardware builds, rapid issue resolution, and continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

Shift: Monday–Friday (5/8 schedule)
Interviews will include a technical assessment
Provide hands-on support to a fast-paced production environment
Lead troubleshooting and disposition of non-conforming (NC) avionics hardware, software, firmware, and electrical systems through detailed work instructions
Drive isolation, containment, and resolution of NC parts and assemblies
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and root cause corrective actions (RCCA) to prevent recurrence of manufacturing and hardware issues
Support design and operational gated reviews by contributing to required technical artifacts and readiness assessments
Collaborate with design engineering to implement Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) that improve manufacturability and reduce non-conformances
Partner with design teams early in the development cycle to improve Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) prior to design release
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field
3+ years of experience with complex electrical aerospace or space hardware
Experience operating, diagnosing, and dispositioning non-conforming electrical hardware, harnesses, software, and/or firmware
Strong understanding of electrical systems such as:
High-speed digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuits
Battery-based power systems (power management, switching, charging, safety)
Embedded command and I/O systems for complex industrial or vehicle applications
RF communication systems and components
Experience with circuit analysis and simulation (e.g., worst-case analysis, signal integrity, logic simulation)
Understanding of grounding, PCB layout principles, and EMI/EMC tradeoffs
Experience applying DFMA principles in design development
Strong communication, organization, and project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
Hands-on mindset with strong attention to detail and ownership of work
Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment and adapt to new challenges
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field
5+ years of experience with aerospace or space electrical systems
Experience troubleshooting high-reliability, safety-critical electronics
Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC-A-600/610/620, J-STD-001, and DO-254
Experience with launch vehicle hardware development, integration, and testing
Experience developing embedded software or firmware for microcontrollers, DSPs, or FPGAs
Proficiency in 3D CAD programs (Creo Pro/E preferred)
