This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.- Design, implement, and continuously improve composite layup, curing, trimming, and finishing processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and repeatability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, materials, and production to ensure seamless integration of composite components
- Analyze manufacturing data and recommend process changes to troubleshoot issues, reduce scrap, and meet or exceed performance targets
- Develop and validate new composite material systems, process models, and automation technologies to push the boundaries of what's possible
- Document manufacturing procedures, conduct training, and provide technical guidance to production technicians
- Stay abreast of the latest composite processing techniques, equipment, and quality standards in the aerospace industry
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering, or related technical field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in advanced composite manufacturing, preferably in the aerospace or high-performance industrial sectors
- Deep understanding of composite materials, design, and processing methods including autoclave, out-of-autoclave, and additive techniques
- Expertise in statistical process control, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and data analysis skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Passion for space exploration and a drive to push the boundaries of what's possible

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the design, development, and optimization of innovative tooling solutions to support the production of our revolutionary space vehicles and systems.
- Design, commission, and continuously improve specialized tooling for composite layup, bonding, assembly, and inspection processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, materials, and production to ensure seamless integration of tooling with manufacturing workflows
- Analyze manufacturing data and recommend tooling enhancements to troubleshoot issues, reduce cycle times, and meet or exceed performance targets
- Develop and validate new tooling concepts, materials, and automation technologies to push the boundaries of what's possible
- Document tooling procedures, conduct training, and provide technical guidance to production technicians
- Stay abreast of the latest tooling innovations, equipment, and quality standards in the aerospace industry
