Senior Workday Developer

Saronic Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Workday Senior Developer to support and scale our enterprise Financial and People Systems ecosystem. This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure, compliant, and scalable Workday solutions and integrations across Financials and HCM that support a rapidly growing, regulated organization.
This individual will operate within a structured enterprise technology environment and partner closely with Finance, Accounting, People Operations, Enterprise Applications, Cybersecurity, and Integration teams. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong systems thinking, security awareness, and disciplined delivery execution across both Financials and HCM domains.
Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain scalable solutions within Workday Financials and Workday HCM
Support core Financial modules, Accounting Center, and core People modules (HCM, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Benefits, Compensation, and Recruiting) including their configuration and integrations
Translate complex Finance, Accounting, HR, and Payroll requirements into robust technical solutions
Develop and support integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PECI/PICOF, and Workday APIs
Build and maintain reports including Standard, Advanced, Composite, and BIRT
Design and maintain Workday Orchestrate for Integrations (O4I) workflows
Partner with enterprise integration teams to ensure alignment with middleware, ERP, CRM, and analytics platforms
Ensure integrations and solutions align with enterprise architecture standards
Adhere to structured change management and release governance processes
Maintain clear documentation, traceability, and system integrity across environments
Implement secure integration patterns and enforce strong data governance practices
Operate within environments requiring controlled data handling and compliance rigor
Support audit readiness, segregation of duties, and internal control frameworks
Evaluate opportunities to leverage Workday Extend applications using IntelliJ or App Builder
Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and scalability as Saronic expands its workforce and operations across multiple countries
Identify technical debt and recommend modernization opportunities
5+ years of software development experience in Workday
5+ years of experience designing, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining Workday solutions using Workday Studio, EIB, and Reporting (Standard, Advanced, Composite, BIRT)
4+ years of experience working with Workday Financials and Workday HCM applications
Experience with Accounting Center preferred
Experience supporting Workday Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Benefits, or Advanced Compensation integrations and reporting preferred
3+ years of experience designing, building, testing, implementing, and maintaining Workday Orchestrate for Integrations (O4I) preferred
Experience with Workday Extend applications using IntelliJ or App Builder is a plus
Workday Studio Certification preferred
Workday Pro certification in an HCM or Financials track (e.g., Integrations, HCM, Reporting, Payroll) is a plus
Experience operating in regulated or compliance-focused environments preferred; familiarity with DCAA, FAR/DFARS, SOX, or similar control frameworks is a plus
Familiarity with secure integration design, data governance principles, and enterprise control frameworks preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
Strong collaborator and cross-functional partner across Finance, IT, and Security
Comfortable operating in structured, compliance-oriented environments
Ability to quickly understand new technologies and evolving enterprise platforms
