Technical Recruiter – Hardware
- 3+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, with a strong focus on hardware and engineering roles, ideally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Demonstrated strength in proactive sourcing, including LinkedIn Recruiter, advanced Boolean search techniques, and creative approaches to identifying and engaging passive candidates.
- Experience recruiting technical talent across hardware and product engineering disciplines, including mechanical engineering, electrical/electronics, embedded systems, firmware, RF/wireless, systems engineering, and hardware test.
- Strong understanding of hardware engineering concepts and technologies, including CAD, GD&T, PCB design, signal integrity, power electronics, and complex electromechanical systems.
- Ability to understand and translate highly technical requirements into effective sourcing strategies, including specialized areas such as embedded C/C++, RTOS, microcontrollers, FPGA, RF systems, antennas, and EMI/EMC.
- Familiarity with engineering verification and validation processes, hardware test methodologies, and environmental testing.
- Experience recruiting within aerospace, space, satellite, defense, or adjacent complex hardware/deep-tech industries.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong talent pipelines for specialized hardware engineering positions in competitive markets.
- Ability to effectively pitch Loft’s mission, culture, and technical challenges to highly specialized, passive candidates.
- Experience conducting phone screens, assessing technical alignment, and managing candidate communication throughout the full interview lifecycle.
- Proficiency with ATS tools (Lever preferred), including maintaining accurate and up-to-date pipelines.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to partner closely with hiring managers and the internal recruiting team, providing market insights and recommendations to improve hiring outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Direct experience recruiting for satellite systems, avionics, GNC, RF engineering, hardware test, or assembly, integration, and test (AI&T) positions.
- Familiarity with spacecraft hardware development, electronics manufacturing, PCB design, and satellite production environments.
- Experience recruiting globally, with knowledge of both US and European aerospace and hardware engineering talent ecosystems.
- Familiarity with ITAR, EAR, and compliance considerations relevant to US-based space and defense hiring.
- Prior work in or close partnership with startup or high-growth aerospace companies.
- Background in agency recruiting or experience managing multiple specialized technical searches simultaneously.
- Skilled at using social platforms like LinkedIn to enhance employer brand and attract niche technical talent.
