Technical Recruiter – Software
- 3+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, with a strong focus on software and product engineering roles, ideally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Demonstrated strength in proactive sourcing, including LinkedIn Recruiter, advanced Boolean search techniques, and creative approaches to engaging passive candidates.
- Experience recruiting technical talent across software and product engineering disciplines, including frontend/web applications, backend services, cloud infrastructure, software integration, test infrastructure, and distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of software engineering concepts and technologies, including Python, APIs, Git, Docker, CI/CD, automated testing, Linux, and cloud-based systems.
- Ability to understand and translate complex technical requirements into effective sourcing strategies, including specialized areas such as mission-control and ground software, telemetry and command systems, mission planning and scheduling, payload tasking and monitoring, data routing, and automation.
- Familiarity with recruiting for specialized software environments involving embedded C/C++, RTOS, secure web applications, satellite operations, flight dynamics, or AI/ML applications.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong talent pipelines for highly competitive, niche technical positions.
- Ability to effectively pitch Loft’s mission, culture, and technical challenges to highly specialized, passive candidates.
- Experience conducting phone screens, assessing technical alignment, and managing candidate communication throughout the full interview lifecycle.
- Proficiency with ATS tools (Lever preferred), including maintaining accurate and up-to-date pipelines.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to partner closely with hiring managers and the internal recruiting team, providing market insights and recommendations to improve hiring outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience recruiting within the space, satellite, aerospace, robotics, autonomous systems, or adjacent deep-tech industries.
- Direct experience recruiting for mission-control software, satellite ground systems, flight software, embedded systems, or AI/ML engineering roles.
- Experience recruiting internationally, particularly across US and European technical talent markets.
- Prior work in or close partnership with startup or high-growth technology companies.
- Background in agency recruiting or experience managing multiple specialized technical searches simultaneously.
- Familiarity with ITAR, EAR, and compliance considerations relevant to US-based space and defense hiring.
- Skilled at using social platforms like LinkedIn to enhance employer brand and attract niche technical talent.
