This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.We are a team of collaborators, doers, and problem- solvers who are relentlessly committed to asafety firstenvironment. In this role, you willhelpoptimizethe development, construction,operationand maintenance of Blue Origin’s test facilities in Kent. This is a hands-on engineering andcontinuous improvementposition for testing components and systems supporting all Blue Origin business units.
Assistteams with thedesign,fabrication,installationand operation ofhydrostatic, fluid flow, propellant, pneumatic, or cryogenic test facilities
Collaborate across the test stands toshare best practices anddrive efficiencies
Execute projects which increase the operational efficiencies across all test stands
Develop and execute test plans and procedures; performsubsequentdata reduction and reviews
Lead daily test operations,operatetest consoles, direct technicianworkand coordinate with internal customers
Understand and troubleshoot fluid and instrumentation systems
Perform root cause, system hazardanalysisand failure investigations
Identifyopportunities for safety improvements and cost savings
Design, define,procureand install system components and materials; manage vendors and subcontractors during installation
Proactively prepare status updates and communicatesboth within the organization and with direct customers
Demonstratehigh standardsin test operations and work cooperatively with a team ofTechnicians, ResponsibleEngineersand BLUE customers to ensure requirements are met

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering
5+ years of experience in the design, development, or operation of test facilities or similar experimental research facilities
Knowledge of a variety of fluids, experience with cryogenicsandhigh pressuregasses(>3000 psi)preferred
Ability and desire to understand complex systems, investigate and solve challenging problems, and work in a dynamic environment
Analytical orientation and safety mindset
Demonstratedinitiative to improve existing systems, processes, and documentation
Ability to support weekend and second shift as needed to meet customer demands
Ability to earn trust,maintainpositive and professional relationships
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Demonstrated technicalexpertisein test stand design, operations, and maintenance
Hands onoperationsexperience with cryogenics, pressurized gas systems, fluid systems, and/or instrumentation & controls
Working knowledge ofASME codes and local building standards
Strong Project Management and team leadership skills
Understanding/experience with hazardous operations and design for system safety
Experience with 3D CAD tools and data management
Experience with test facility instrumentation and Data Acquisition and Control Systems
Knowledge of systems engineering practices, fabrication and integration processes, and quality control
Proficiencyin LabView, Python, MATLAB
Base Pay Range for:
