At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

We are a team of collaborators, doers, and problem-solvers who are relentlessly committed to a culture of safety. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight. Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin's vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.

This is an investigator role at its core. You will lead workplace investigations from intake through closure, building the fact pattern, conducting interviews, weighing evidence, and delivering findings that hold up to scrutiny. In parallel, you will partner closely with our Labor Relations leader to execute a proactive Labor Relations strategy, getting ahead of issues before they escalate, strengthening manager capability, and shaping the policies and practices that keep our workforce engaged and our operations moving.

Equally important, you will partner proactively with the business. You will build trusted relationships with leaders across the organization, identify proactive Employee Relations trends before they become problems, and bring forward solutions that address root causes rather than symptoms. You will use data, listening, and pattern recognition to spot risk early and equip leaders with the tools, training, and guidance to resolve it at the source.

Reporting to the People Experience Director, you will share in the team's impact across the full Employee and Labor Relations portfolio. You will provide counsel on people related policies and procedures, problem solve with leaders, and explore alternatives for conflict resolution and organizational change. You will support planning and managing Employee and Labor Relations projects and programs, with investigations, proactive LR execution, and proactive business partnership anchoring your day to day work.

We are looking for someone to apply their investigative expertise, labor relations acumen, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight.

Relocation can be provided.

Tavel: 0-30%

  • Partner directly with the Labor Relations leader to execute a proactive Labor Relations strategy, identifying trends, addressing risks upstream, and strengthening the relationship between Blue Origin and its workforce before issues escalate
  • Partner proactively with business leaders to identify emerging Employee Relations trends, diagnose root causes, and deliver practical solutions that prevent recurrence and reduce risk across the organization
  • Use ER data, case themes, and leader feedback to surface patterns, recommend interventions, and measure the impact of proactive solutions over time
  • Conduct root cause analysis and make recommendations regarding policy changes, development, interpretation, and precedent setting problem resolution
  • Maintain knowledge of, interpret, and provide guidance to employees, managers, and Human Resources regarding policies, procedures, and programs, as well as federal and state labor and employment laws
  • Design and deliver proactive training and education to managers and HR on investigations, labor relations fundamentals, and employment best practices
  • Facilitate and mediate difficult escalated conversations, and support conflict resolution across teams and levels

  • Demonstrated experience conducting successful fact-finding investigations, including complex, multi-party, or high stakes matters, and producing defensible investigative reports
  • Experience supporting or executing Labor Relations work in a proactive, preventative posture, not solely reactive
  • Experience partnering proactively with business leaders to identify ER trends and deliver solutions that address root causes
  • Experience providing guidance to employees, managers, and HR colleagues regarding policies, procedures, and programs as well as federal and state labor and employment laws
